Scarecrows at Altamont Fair
The Capital Region has many good fairs, expos and festivals, The local county fairs include the Altamont Fair, Washington County Fair, Schoharie Fair, and the Schaghticoke Fair which all feature animal exhibits, amusement rides, local crafts and good food. The Capital Region Flower Show is held annually in March at Hudson Valley Community College and draws large crowds eager to get a start on the Spring season. The Albany Tulip Festival is held annually on Mother's Day Weekend in Albany's Washington Park.
