Empire State Plaza Skating Rink

The Empire State Plaza Skating Rink is a popular outdoor ice skating rink located in the heart of Albany, New York. It is situated within the larger Empire State Plaza complex, which features a number of government buildings, public spaces, and cultural institutions.

The skating rink is open to the public during the winter months, typically from November through March, and offers a fun and festive way to enjoy the chilly weather. The rink is open 7 days a week from 12:00 to 8:00 pm.  The rink is surrounded by a beautiful backdrop of the New York State Capitol building and other notable Albany landmarks.

The rink is large and can accommodate both recreational skaters and those who want to practice more advanced figure skating moves. Skates can be rented on-site, and the rink is typically staffed by friendly and experienced attendants who can provide assistance and tips for skaters of all levels.  The ice surface is refreshed once a day during the week and twice a day during the weekend. 

In addition to public skating, the Empire State Plaza Skating Rink also hosts a variety of special events throughout the winter season, including live music performances, themed skate nights, and holiday festivities. The rink is also a popular spot for birthday parties and group outings.
