Founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet, Saint Rose is a private, independent, co-educational college, located on an urban, 48-acre campus in Albany, NY, the state’s capital.

It now has undergraduate and graduate programs and is broken down into four schools. The School of Arts & Humanities, The Huether School of Business, The Thelma P. Lally School of Education and The School of Mathematics & Sciences As part of its humble roots, the school's campus has a low profile in the Pine Hill section of Albany.. They made good use of the older houses on Madison Avenue.
