Clark Art Institute - Williamstown, Mass

The Clark Art Institute is a renowned art museum and research center located in Williamstown, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1955 by Sterling and Francine Clark, who were collectors of European and American art.

The museum's collections include over 10,000 works of art spanning many centuries and cultures, with a particular focus on French Impressionism, British oil sketches, American paintings and sculpture, and Old Master prints and drawings. Notable pieces in the collection include works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, and Vincent van Gogh, among others.

The Clark Art Institute's campus features a stunning array of buildings and outdoor spaces, including the original museum building designed by Daniel Perry in the 1950s, the Manton Research Center designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando in the 1990s, and the Lunder Center at Stone Hill designed by Selldorf Architects in 2008. The campus also includes a 140-acre nature preserve with hiking trails and outdoor sculpture installations.
