Saratoga Amtrak Rail Road Station
Saratoga Amtrak Railroad Station

Saratoga Amtrak Rail Road Station serves the City and region. Though there is only one AMTRAK train a day each way, the Adirondacker from Albany to Montreal. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, as of April 2020, the station has been closed. In the summer, excursions trains run to Corinth and North Creek and back.

Unlike the Albany to New York line, the old NYC Hudson River RR,  which is owned by AMTRAK, the Canadian Pacific owns this line from Albany to Montreal. Previously, the venerable Delaware and Hudson Railway owned this important line, which skirts the Eastern Adirondacks and serves the Lake Champlain shoreline and Plattsburgh too.
